Now, the Whalehouse Sale is not as popular as other warehouse sales such as Lilly Pulitzer, but for any Vineyard Vine fanatic such as myself, the Whalehouse Sale is where you can get the best deals. So here are some tips on how to get the most out of this sale:
#1. Get there early.
You want to be in the first 100 people in line because they limit how many people can come in at one time. I got at the warehouse 50 minutes early and was the first people in line (but the day I went was not crowded). Get to the warehouse about an hour before.
#2. Do not go on the first day.
Unless it is the only day you can go, do not go on the first. It is WAY crazy. They add new stuff each day, they will not be out of everything after the first day. If you go the first day, you will be waiting in line for forever. I went on one of the last days and I there was still a TON left.
#3. Wear light clothes.
There are no dressing rooms. Wear yoga pants or leggings with a tank top so then you can just slip clothes on top.
#4. Grab and then sort.
When you first see something you like, grab it. If you wait, it might be gone in just a few minutes. Then once your done, go to a corner and sort. Whatever you do not like, just put back. Also, do not throw the clothes on the floor. Someone may want what you did not want.
#5. Go with friends.
It will me fun. If you have to wait in line, you may as well have someone to talk to. The waiting to get in goes by way quicker with other people.
